After a day's work in Arles, I'm already drawn out of the city again. I take a break at one of the vegetable and fruit stands that I pass along the way. They are just right for me to replenish my supplies with fresh food. I make myself a salad right there in the parking lot.

I reach the sea at sunset! From the parking lot, I walk through the dunes for about 15 minutes until I finally jump into the water like a happy child, facing the sun 😄 It's even pleasantly warm for my standards.

The next day starts with yoga on the beach followed by swimming. The beach is empty. However, it's also a very cloudy and windy day, so after swimming, despite the warm tea, it quickly becomes uncomfortable.

The weather, the wind, the sand everywhere - it's all quite exhausting. I can feel a first low coming over me. Maybe also a feeling of loneliness.

Anyway, it leads me to send a few Couchsurfing requests. So far, I've been enjoying the 'me time' to the fullest, but it's also time to meet inspiring people again and spend time together. Couchsurfing is simply the ideal opportunity for that.

Normally, I'm not a fan of big fast-food chains, but the secure access to the internet and electricity is a clear advantage to stop at the next McDonald's, charge my laptop, and work during that time. Despite all the tempting marketing strategies, I stick to my principle of only ordering a cappuccino and I'm proud of myself. :-D

Actually, I wanted to keep driving, but then I received confirmation from the Couchsurfer Isabelle from Béziers that she can accommodate me for two nights starting tomorrow. So I'm looking for a parking space near the river Orb in the vicinity of Béziers (this was recommended to me as a bathing river by another Couchsurfer). The next day, it turns out to be the best parking spot of the entire trip. :)
