Motorhome "Rudy" The first tour

Day 1

So, here we go. After my employer granted me leave until August 31, 2022, we decided to use the time and embark on the first tour with our motorhome "Rudy". We're heading south... chasing the sun. After filling "Rudy" with life for days and almost despairing about a few things, we're starting the first leg.

The first stop is Limburg at our motorhome dealer, as there are still some issues. The control panel for electricity, water, etc. is defective and will be replaced. The compartment for the gas bottle is so small that we could only get an expensive 2.75 kg gas bottle. The fitting with internal thread doesn't fit either. Rudi (the motorhome dealer and namesake for our RV) drives around for about 2 hours and gets us a 3.8 kg gas bottle that fits perfectly and the fitting is also the right one.

With a little delay, we start heading towards Nuremberg, where we want to visit Julia.

We find a parking spot at the Wöhrder See in Norikerstr. that is perfect for us, as we are in the city center in 10 minutes by bike.

We arrive and have a drink from our "camping plastic glasses, which aren't that bad, with a view of the Wöhrder See.

We meet up with Julia and Kolja and visit the beautiful wine bar in the old town, which we already tried last time. Delicious wine and Italian tapas round off the fun evening before we, unfortunately due to the rain, ride back to our motorhome and spend a short but peaceful night there.

Tomorrow we will continue towards South Tyrol ☀️☀️
