The Orange trees

Unfortunately we didn't spend the night in our beautiful bungalow. Due to a power outage last night you have one

We turned on the generator, which is located right next to our bungalow. We sat on the terrace and the noise and smell of diesel became unbearable. When we asked what that was, we were told that the plants smelled like that until the boss was finally contacted.

A room was arranged for us in the neighboring hotel for the night, which was quite complicated. No more sound of the sea or sea view, but rainforest and not so good atmosphere.

Somehow we're unlucky with our accommodations, or that's normal in Colombia.

In the first hotel there was mold and musty, in the first beach hotel it rained at night and there was only cold brown river water for showering. Then we thought that we had booked something higher quality and also have a cold shower, there are always workmen in the room knocking down the wall to install a new air conditioning system and now there is also the noise and smell from a generator and also only a cold shower 🚿

There is probably a broken power line here in town and the generator next to our bungalow is now supplying the hotels. A repair crew is probably on the way, but it is unclear whether it will be repaired today.

It's a real shame, we were really looking forward to relaxing days here.

But first breakfast. In the mountains we had hummingbirds at breakfast, and pelicans fly by here.

In the afternoon, oh wonder, the unit suddenly goes out and we hope it stays that way.

Today it didn't rain for the second day in a row and we see crocodiles and mountains by the river at sunset.

Since the waves are quite high today, there are a lot of surfers on the water today.

In the evening we experience a thunderstorm and lightning that can replace any television program.

A relaxing day by the sea and the pool comes to an end.

On the first day we were pointed out about the earplugs by the bed, which we laughed at. Tonight we need them both due to the heavy waves🤣
