Tag 280 - Cozumel

Hellooooo dear ones!

We have added the events of last evening to yesterday's blog post. It was so amazing that we wanted to note everything under the correct tag ☺️

Empty spaces seem to be accompanying us throughout this vacation, because today we had another day where nothing seemed to work ☺️.At 10:30 am, we parted ways with the very comfortable mattress, packed everything up, got ready, and checked out.Then, we drove to the vicinity of the laundry and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The laundry was supposed to be ready by 2 pm, and our check out was at 12 pm - so more than enough time. However, we needed to withdraw money first, so we walked around in search of a bank. We walked for a whole hour through Playa del Carmen without finding a single one! So, we went back to the laundry and picked up our stuff. Fortunately, they were already ready an hour earlier. Now, we used the navigation system to find a bank and found one. So far, so good.We had read that the car ferry to Cozumel leaves at 4 pm from "Calica". Since we are in Mexico, we wanted to first get the tickets and then look for something to eat.At the port, they directed us to a line and no one seemed to speak English. At 3 pm, we learned from an employee that the 4 pm ferry was full, and the next one is at 7 pm! However, there was no guarantee of getting a spot on the boat!Alright, change of plans....We drove back to Playa del Carmen, parked our car, and got a ticket for the passenger ferry at 4 pm. Finally, something went as planned! At the port, we quickly grabbed a really inedible sandwich, but the main thing was to have something to eat. We were able to board as planned and after a 40-minute ride, we reached the destination island!First, we rented a scooter and drove to our accommodation for the next few days. It's really cool - especially for the money! We are only paying CHF 32 per night and have everything we need ☺️.A short time later, we went out again for dinner. We found a really great restaurant! Right on the beach, super delicious food, good cocktails, and all at a fair price. They also have a lamp with a camera in the sea and a screen in the restaurant. You can see what's happening underwater in the sea the whole time. We thought that was really cool! In addition, there is a diving shop where you can rent only the necessary equipment for beach dives - without a guide ☺️.We will definitely do that!Now, we have had a delicious meal, sipped a drink, and now we are sitting on the balcony once again to end the evening 😉
