After 7 days in Sweden, we are slowly settling into our time off... it's not easy to get used to being "free" and not having to give in to everyday duties and societal stress. It's nice to slowly understand that there are much more important and beautiful things in life... the daily manual work on the property is sweaty and exhausting, but it feels great in the evening to see what we've accomplished throughout the day with our own strength :). And without running water, washing machine, or a proper bathroom, we learn to appreciate the little things in life ;). Daily challenges like the plague of horseflies that have spread here in the last few days or a car breakdown sometimes bring us back to reality, but that's just part of it ;) After the morning shower in the lake or when we go on fishing trips with the motorboat towards sunset, we celebrate the happiness of experiencing something like this... 🙏🏼 My highlight of the week was her first pike catch... she officially belongs to the family now :D Papa Sergey was very proud!
We have an incredibly great community here in Kärrnäset! Everyone helps each other or comes over for a beer and a chat... two sweet ladies from Sweden and England host a small summer café every Wednesday in the community house with homemade pastries and coffee - mega sweet :) and you get to know the neighbors and people from the area... it's just easy to integrate here... we love it!
We continue to follow the sun and enjoy every day... ☀️
P.S.: Once you've experienced horseflies, you learn to appreciate mosquitoes 😅
