And there it is. A Portuguese village straight out of a storybook! Charming little streets adorned with flowers and color. Medieval church and castle, and a completely preserved city wall.
And many small tourist shops. With Ginja, the local cherry liqueur, which you can try in small chocolate cups. Tastes delicious, but very sweet. There is also plenty to see and buy.
We stroll through the streets - the wind is cold - it is winter here after all. The superstar is Polly, I don't know how many people pet, cuddle, and whatnot. No one pays us any attention! But she still has a lot to learn... she's constantly chewing and eating, who knows why.
Even with the sunshine, we can't find an open-air beer shop - and dogs are not allowed in the bars - so back to the car.
We still want to go a bit further. A pitch with a sea view...
