Day 11 - Hermanus

Today we woke up at 8 o'clock and were shocked to find that the weather in Hermanus is still terrible. Nevertheless, we enjoyed our continental breakfast and had a chat with Karin and her friend. After breakfast, we went to the beautiful city to go shopping. Finally, I found a suitable football jersey for Phippu :-)

Meanwhile, Corina bought herself some new clothes. We were back at the homebase around 2 pm and rested from the busy day. Then we went to another shopping center outside the city. On the way back, the navigation system took us through a township. It's shocking and sad to see how the people there 'live'. Just one street away, there were magnificent villas again. The mixture of poverty and wealth in such a short distance really makes you think. And you're grateful when you realize what you have and how fortunate you are.

Before dinner, we went to the cliffs again, where Kosi took some photos.

At 7:00 pm, we went to the restaurant The Wine Glass. The restaurant had 96 different wines from the Hermanus region and surrounding areas. However, Kosi couldn't try them all and stuck to 3 different wines. Corina settled for one wine. For dinner, there was meat, spring rolls, and fries.

Unfortunately, we didn't see any whales today. We'll try again tomorrow.
