Tag 1 - 9 AUCKLAND

Hello!

After 45 hours of flying (of which I slept more than half), we arrive in Auckland. During the 18-hour layover in Taiwan, I meet Phillip, Mattis, and other Germans and we make plans for the next few days.

We run errands and climb Mt. Eden, which offers a wonderful view of the surrounding Auckland (especially at sunset!). We discover a beautiful beach that we have all to ourselves, play cards in Albert Park, and visit the harbor. I buy a car and after 1 1/2 weeks in Auckland, Emily and I follow the guys to Tauranga.

The backpacker life can begin!
