Today was all about exploring the city. Without a specific destination in mind, we wandered around Tbilisi, took the cable car up, walked downhill in a zigzag pattern, and visited the cathedral.
In particular, the narrow side streets with their small, sometimes densely overgrown courtyards have a special charm.
However, many buildings are in a state of severe decay, and it seems that some things, such as the installation of cables and pipes on facades, are not done properly but rather in a 'Russan' way.
The sidewalks are also littered with landmines, which is really tiring in the narrow alleys.
On the way, we passed by a huge flea market where you could buy pretty much anything, even things you didn't know you needed. For example, there was a steel helmet that is allegedly an 'original' from the Wehrmacht. But it somehow looked freshly stickered with a decal. Right next to it, you could buy a bust of Stalin. Knives and daggers also seem to be popular here. Well, it's not my cup of tea... The used tools were more interesting.
All in all, another beautiful day...
