Early in the morning, Marco calls and wakes us up. Shift change; Lars and I are supposed to go down to Refugio Notros. When we arrive downstairs, I meet Chief Ranger Pati. She seems nicer than in the stories. She gives me the day off. I spend the time reading on the veranda until it starts raining. Pati and Lars are tirelessly busy with an axe and chainsaw. Right next to the refuge. In addition to this noise, the rain pushes the smoke from the wood stove into the cabin - relaxing is different. I take a rainy walk to the suspension bridge. In the rain, the enchanted, mossy forest looks truly authentic. That's how it should be. In the evening, I bake bread rolls called "Pancitos" according to Patis recipe.
