A very warm night is over, I had to turn on the air conditioning in the camper because it was 26°C inside. The skylight and window were closed due to the thunderstorm, which didn't provide any cooling. The morning was very warm and the sky was full of rain clouds, occasionally it rained as well. The journey was varied, the Murray River, Australia's longest river at 2575 km, accompanied us to Echuca, the main source of drinking water for South Australia. Many herds of cattle, mostly black, flocks of sheep, occasionally olive trees, and for the first time we saw cherry plantations. There was a sign by the roadside: "Cherry-Ice", so we thought we'd give it a try. When we opened the car doors, there was loud music playing, part of the yard was filled with huge agave, cacti, and smaller aloe vera. Behind them were the cherry trees. There was no one to be seen. When we found the entrance, everything was empty. There was a fridge with drinks and a freezer in the room, with a sign saying, please put 5 AD$ in the box and close the freezer. Then we had our cherry ice cream. In every slightly larger town, there is also an Aldi, but we usually shop at Woolworths. Today we reached our fourth state, Queensland, Northern Territory, New South Wales. Upon arriving in Echuca-Moama, where we had planned to take a ride on the Murray River paddle steamer tomorrow morning, it turned out to be a big disappointment. All the campsites were fully booked because Tuesday is a public holiday and all Australians are taking a long weekend. We tried everywhere in the area. This area is popular because of the river, many people have a boat. We had no choice but to continue driving. But unfortunately, the paddle steamer trip won't happen.

As we come further south, the days are getting longer, now it doesn't get dark until 8:00 PM, so we have more daylight. Now there is also a 10-hour time difference to Germany. Luckily, 50 km further we found a very small quaint parking space, again without WiFi. Maybe I can send everything tomorrow.

In the late afternoon, a strong wind started, which made the high temperatures bearable but made it difficult for Micha to drive. Everything is flying around. Let's see if grilling the zucchinis will still work.
