St. Malo

Yesterday I arrived at this wonderfully small and chill camping site Les Etang, located between St. Malo and Dinar. If I hadn't been placed directly across from a family of 9, it would have been almost too quiet here. Honestly, I have been talking very little for days and I am increasingly enjoying being completely on my own and free to do whatever I want.

After arriving yesterday, I went on a bike exploration tour in search of a place to swim and found it with the help of Google Maps - Le Petit Plage de Cancaval - very secluded and beautiful⛱️

After the hot summer temperatures, it cooled down quickly in the evening and there was a very heavy thunderstorm with prolonged heavy rain at night.⚡️⛈️🌧 I had to go out briefly to disconnect my cooler box from the power grid. 😵‍💫

Today the Komoot app showed me a great bike tour to St. Malo and Dinar, including a small ferry ride. Despite or maybe because of the grey sky, there were constantly new and wonderful photo perspectives. If this continues, my memory will soon be full.

Since the French people are still on summer vacation, the cities and attractions are still quite crowded - that's why I now avoid city tours and prefer to stay off the beaten track on the coastal paths.

Tomorrow I will continue northwest, where according to the travel guide, it will be truly Breton. 😎
