Farewell

Saying goodbye is such a thing. In my case, farewell means departure. Long prepared and longed for. A reason for joy.

But it also means feeling a loved one one last time for a long time. Leaving the family behind, not seeing how little Theo develops in the first year. Say goodbye to friends, colleagues and acquaintances. Heavier than expected. More emotional than expected.

Registering that you are very important to many people does not happen in everyday life. Tell someone that they are important to you, even not or only rarely.

We miss what is no longer there. Instead of enjoying it while we have it.

I was very touched by how warmly so many people said goodbye to me. A nice feeling. Maybe you just need to go through the world with a more open heart to see what is relevant in everyday life.
