Germany: Along the Lake Constance–Königssee Cycle Route through Bavaria

18th - 22nd July

Now we are going along the Lake Constance–Königssee Cycle Route through Bavaria to Salzburg. And then on the Salzkammergut cycle paths from Salzburg via Bad Ischl back home!

The paths are really great, always a little uphill and downhill - sometimes on gravel roads, but mostly on asphalt - through small villages and past many fields! It feels absolutely amazing - especially because we can always see the Austrian Alps! So beautiful!! And then the sound of cow bells in the background - that makes everything even more beautiful!

On our ride through Schwangau, we were spontaneously called by Peter (a friend of Markus), and since we were nearby and a few days off are always good, we stayed for a few nights.

There was a barbecue - cake & coffee - a few shots - and of course a beer ;-) Really everything an Austrian girl desires!

Now we only have 6 days left! Unbelievable! But soon the journey will come to an end!

And just for the final stretch, I bought an Austrian flag! That's how patriotic one must be ;-)

Actually, today we wanted to continue cycling - but today it rains all day! Hm... but Peter, Nela & Johannes are so kind and let us stay for another day ;-) So we'll set off again tomorrow!
