My step counter is in alarm. After 2 years in a zombie state, it's now going through the roof 😊. Today we went to Times Square with a bouncing step. I briefly considered buying a balloon string because Zoe was in danger of taking off. For me, it was more like the step counter: alarm - sensory overload. At the ticket booth, we auctioned off 2 tickets for tomorrow: Lion King. My credit card, my step counter, and my state of mind were all in alarm 😉. While I took care of the financials, Zoe stood behind me and was asked by a brother if he could give her a hug. And what does an Uneraegeri/St. Moritz egg say? Sure, come here...
Mother instinct kicked in: Alarm! Something is very strange behind you... The brother quickly left, I checked Zoe to see if everything was still there or if there was too much or too little, and then she got a lesson on naivety, Corona, criminality, etc. etc....
From there we strolled to the Vessel and through the High Lane to the Meatpacking District. The weather and mood were radiant. We let ourselves drift through the Meatpacking District and came back to the hotel via 6th Avenue just in time to admire the sunset from the Empire State Building. As soon as we entered the ESB foyer, Zoe got a nosebleed. I rushed to an employee with Zoe in tow and asked if there was a toilet so she could wash herself. The lady, who must have weighed at least 120 kilos, made a leap of at least 1 meter that put every gazelle to shame! With a freshly powdered nose, we went up 102 floors, which challenged the eardrums, and I prayed that Zoe's nasal veins could withstand it. All good - phenomenal view, took 1000 photos and went back down.
The evening program was to go to the rooftop bar in the hotel and eat in the hotel. Everything was fine, except for the moment when Zoe's nasal veins weakened again... In the restaurant, she ran to the toilet with drops of blood, which put security on alert... I strolled behind her, thinking: it'll be fine - it's just a nosebleed. Security wasn't so relaxed, so I said something like, "Oh, it's just a cold for me." Not the best explanation during these times of corona. Security then tried to do the Michael Jackson moonwalk -> keep the upper body still and slowly move backwards to get out of this situation. It worked well. Then we walked back together to the table, where other guests shouted after us, "Well, that was a bit too much" ha, ha, ha.
And when Zoe started rubbing her nose with her fingers, it didn't really help to dispel the image of New York visitors on cocaine... Another successful day 😊

I considered buying a balloon cord for Zoe so she wouldn't fly away, she was so, so happy. I felt more like my step counter: Alarm. Too much sensory overflow. At the ticket counter, we bought 2 tickets for the Lion King on Saturday, so my credit card joined my step counter and my state of mind in feeling: Alarm 😉 While I took care of the finances, Zoe waited behind me. A "brother" came up to her and asked if he could give her a hug. And what does an Uneraegeri/St. Moritz chicken answer? Sure – of course, come here....
