Hello everyone,
today we are deviating from the direct route (southbound) and heading west towards Trondheim and Kristiansund.
On our way, we will once again have to take a ferry to reach the next island. Afterwards, we have to cross a series of bridges that connect the islands.
To reach the island where Kristiansund is located, we have to drive our motorhome through an underwater tunnel. I have already found a parking space at the harbor using our app, but this time the harbor turns out to be a large industrial port, rather than a small sports facility with sailboats. So let's quickly check the app again to see if there are any alternatives. And behold, on our route, just 20 kilometers away, there should be a nice parking spot in the middle of nature.
Now we only have the 8 km long Atlantic Tunnel ahead of us! Well then, let's go! It's a very strange feeling to know that the Atlantic is above you.
And then the surprise. Okay, the tunnel costs 10€ toll, so far so good. However, we found it a bit cheeky that the toll only applies to the vehicle and the driver, the other passengers have to pay an additional toll! So in the end, we paid almost 16€.
But the parking spot is really great.
But what do I discover when I level the motorhome?!?! 😱 Our left front tire is completely worn out! The alignment is obviously completely off.
Being as foresighted as I am 😋, I brought a toolbox with tools. A full-size spare tire is also included. But no jack. 🙈 And now the kicker! To my shame, we had to rely on the helpfulness of some French people who kindly lent us their jack. So let's quickly change the tire.
Once that's done, this day is really over for me.
So then, until tomorrow.....
