Day 3 - Jungle Tour 'sin mosquitos'

Lolomiina: 12.07.2017

After a rather modest breakfast, prepared by our host, whom we lovingly named Jesse Pinkman, the day didn't seem to start under a good sign. The driver for our jungle tour didn't show up and we didn't have a proper contact person. After our hosts made 3-4 calls with the organization and the driver, he finally found us and we went to the boat at 300 mph, where Captain Carl was already waiting. Start in the Panama Canal, where the big buddies of our nutshell also drove.

Interesting and educational boat tour (information about the canal and flora & fauna), where we made new friends. Well, it was a friendship bought with peanuts and bananas.

Nom nom nom, Barnarne!

After a while we arrived at a floating lodge, where cold drinks and a great lunch were waiting for us.

And who thought that was the end of the event (hello, we...), wrong! The captain took us on a kayak tour, right through a winding and narrow waterway, with all kinds of driftwood (omg I think there's a crocodile 😨) and paddle-entwining plants. And spiders. But, and we couldn't believe it until the end, without a single mosquito. Crazy.

The end of the tour was a small hidden waterfall, which we climbed and then jumped into the water.

Small but nice!

End the evening at 'The Fish Market'. Stylish food truck with great food in a ruin in the middle of Casco Viejo. If you're ever in Panama City...go there!
