We have big plans today, but in the morning I'm still playing with the laundry, so we're not the fastest. We go to the village of Misfat al Abryieen. First, we walk through the old historic center, where there are narrow streets and passages between mud houses. We peek into the backyards and the passage and I admire the variously decorated wooden and metal doors. Then we descend the stairs to the gardens below the city.
First of all, we head towards the wádi. We follow the main falaj, which brings water from the wadi, along which the W9 hiking trail also runs. All the time I admire the various branches and tributaries of other aflajas, gardens with date palms and other trees and here also banana trees. We go to the place where the falaj flows out of the rock and explore it a bit into the cave, but we haven't reached the end. We discovered about 5 geckos, 2 frogs (so far so good), a small spider (well...) and a large spider with a leg span of about 10cm (um... kids, I think we've seen enough and turn it back). We sit on the falaji in the shade and think about what to do in the next few days (for accommodation we only have H+ signal and it's even worse, so there's not much to plan), meanwhile the children catch tadpoles from the water in different stages of development into frogs and put them in ponds made of hat. We could be here until the evening, but we're getting up eventually. We continue back, there are clouds of tourists below the city, but probably only for a few tens of meters, as soon as we go behind the restaurant, we are alone again, we walk through the gardens and through the deep canyon to the parking lot in the new part of Misfat, where Ota parked the car. I really like it here everywhere, this is a spectacle for my gardening heart. We replenish our supplies again in Al Hamra and drive back in the dark.
