After the first night in Peru and the first trip to the toilet, we were shocked. The idiots have such thin sewage pipes that you are not allowed to flush the toilet paper down, but have to throw it into a small trash can next to the toilet bowl, otherwise it gets clogged. Disgusting!
Since the hotel owner left us stranded at the airport the day before, we decided to change hotels so he doesn't get our money!
Done. When we arrived at the new hotel, we were pleasantly surprised because the receptionist could speak English.
After checking into our new room around 12 o'clock, we went out into the city. On our last day in Jamaica, we informed ourselves about how we can travel around in Peru, as there are quite long distances between each stage. That's when we came across the company 'Peru Hop'. Buses shuttle between individual segments that match our desired route. However, since we still have a few questions, we quickly went to the company's office. Convinced, we booked.
Afterwards, we visited an Inca market with lots of small stalls. Then we strolled through the city to the coast.
The coast of Peru is truly breathtaking. First the sea, then a short section of pebble beach, road, a huge earth hill, and the skyscrapers almost directly at the cliff. There were also many paragliders at the cliff. Awesome!
End of Day 2.
