at the end of the world: Finisterre

Lolomiina: 21.09.2019

Everyone walks their 'camino' in their own way, I walked mine... rather slowly, relaxed and with breaks...

My body brought me to the destination well, and where there was too much asphalt and industry in the big cities, buses and trains brought me back on the way.

This experience is almost indescribable for me, what I can say is: that was probably not my last camino but my first. I met many pilgrims who had already been on the Camino de Santiago in Spain several times, a 77-year-old woman walked the way with her husband for the 26th time. Not always the same way, there are several paths to Santiago de Compostela.

A man said: I have become addicted, I walk every year....

Why is the way in Spain so special? Such a wealth of hostels and opportunities to meet people from all continents, you only find that in Spain.

Sadly, I left the 'pilgrim family' and the way behind and now I sit lost in the hotel and feel a bit 'run down' when I look at the people.

But that doesn't matter. I know that I carry enrichment through this experience within me.
