Wetter.com promised 22 degrees Celsius and 15% chance of rain.
We were woken up at 5:00 AM by the sound of rain on the roof of our wooden house. Fog, mist, and pouring rain. Okay...why not?! We'll just stay inside, have a relaxed breakfast, we've downloaded enough books, and it's vacation time, after all.
It actually poured until early afternoon, and then cleared up completely within half an hour. The sun came out, and it must have been around 26 degrees.
So, we wasted no time and went outside to do something.
Freeport is not just a normal town, it's a whole outlet center. I swear, I didn't know that when I booked our accommodation😇.
Nevertheless, we decided to take a look since we were there anyway.
We drove into Freeport, parked the car, and took a long walk around the city.
I wasn't really impressed by the offerings. A lot of outdoor stuff, and often quite conservative. I prefer going to Roermond near us.
Still, it was nice to walk around in the great weather since we've been driving a lot in the past few days.
Around 5:00 PM, we went back to the house, had coffee on the terrace, and enjoyed the delicious cake that our hosts had prepared for us.
In the evening, we actually managed to stay awake until 9:00 PM before our eyes closed.
The time difference is definitely a challenge for us.
