Day 1

It's very hot. Or humid. Stormy (it's supposed to get wild in the evening).

Lost the path for the first time. And found it again. Thanks to Alex and the Alpine Club app. The path, although Via Sacra and 06 long-distance hiking trail, seems rarely traveled. Solitude and peace, until the next road hike. Time flies in conversation, and effort is not a topic. We're having a great time!

We spend our well-deserved lunch break at Renzenhof, deliciously hosted. Afterwards, we imagine ourselves soon over the hills, cow pastures, and Red Crosses over there in the valley of the Furtherbach. It always turns out differently: searching for the path, losing the path, on a new path ("hopefully a sign soon"), by evening Furth is in shouting distance. Which means: not too many kilometers left to go. At 7 p.m. call from the Further innkeeper, asking if we were about to leave. We are! Good food, drink, chat. Reviewing the day: 23km, 840 m uphill, 1010 m downhill. That's it for today. Good night!
