After walking for so many consecutive days, I finally wanted to take a break. My blistered feet would thank me for it. It made sense to visit the city's famous thermal baths. Ghaya was off and so we tried to choose one, which was not so easy with 17 different and not very informative websites. In order not to waste any more time, we decided to go for the most touristy option, the Széchenyi Bath. However, what I found on the websites was that there was a requirement to wear bathing shoes and caps, which posed the next challenge for us. I had thought of my swimsuit but flip flops were not on my packing list. So off to Decathlon we went and bought the cheapest slippers available: (in the end, all three of us had the same ones) Nico spontaneously joined us and we finally arrived at 2:00 PM. The bath was a bit confusing, but once we got into the outdoor pools, any displeasure about the high prices was forgotten. It just felt so good to be in the water and not have to walk. The only thing that annoyed me was that there was a mandatory cap for the swimming pool! Really annoying. It would have been nice to swim a few laps. The thermal pools were clearly too crowded for that. Haha, it might sound like I'm complaining a lot, but actually, it was really nice. Ghaya, who is actually 32, sometimes behaved very young again, and we giggled together like two teenagers. When we stopped for a little photo shoot just as the sun came out, the visit was well-rounded.
