Good morning!
Yesterday we went on a trip to Cocodrilo Park. This is a park that rehabilitates rescued animals (smuggling, private ownership, etc.) and gives them a new home. It mainly consists of reptiles, especially crocodiles of all kinds. There are over 300 crocodiles in this park. We were able to watch some feedings of the following animals: crocodiles, chimpanzees, tigers, and exotic birds. During a short presentation about crocodiles, we were also able to see and touch baby crocodiles. The animal park appears very authentic and the caretakers build a visible bond with the animals. We ended the day with a workout of Theresa's volleyball team.
Today we went for a hike at the Caldera de Bandama. This is a 200 m deep volcanic crater with a diameter of 1.1 km. The circular hiking trail led around the top of the crater. We had a great view into the crater, as well as the surrounding area and the sea. It was an amazing hike and very impressive to see something like this.
