Day 6 (2018) Abu Dhabi: Wakeboarding & Ferrari World

Day 6: Ferrari World

This morning after breakfast we head to Yas Marina. The husband booked a wakeboarding session. The thermometer already shows +38 degrees Celsius at 9 am 🥵🥵🥵 OMG...it's going to be hot again today!

Even with the wind on the boat, we sweat like crazy and I wish I could jump into the channel 🤪

After wakeboarding, we go directly to Yas Mall to Ferrari World.

After the opening dance acrobatics show, the kids immediately want to go to the FIORANO GT CHALLENGE, where two roller coasters run parallel on a race track and compete against each other. We ride the roller coaster 3 times, then we let the kids ride alone and watch a few rounds. Just like last time, there's not much going on here. Waiting time is max. 5 minutes. Perfect! Next stop is Flying Aces. This time even the daughter dares to ride the hellish roller coaster. Respect! I'm still undecided whether I'll dare to ride...!?

Maybe later... but the daughter is totally thrilled with Flying Aces.

The "Fast Track" ride in the middle of Ferrari World is new. The ride shoots through the hall, up and down a vertical track. So much fun! We ride it multiple times 😉

Of course, we can't miss the "Formula Rossa". We spend the whole afternoon here and just before the park closes, the kids ride a few more rounds on the FIORANO GT CHALLENGE. Since they are the only ones on the roller coaster, only one of the 2 tracks is operated, so there's no race with an 'unoccupied' roller coaster train 😄 After that, we leave the park (and once again, I didn't ride Flying Aces 🙈).

We stroll through Yas Mall for a while and then drive back home, where little kitten Lara is already waiting for us.
