Our Saturday started at 5am directly after my night hike. We had hoped to see the sunrise. Unfortunately, it was too cloudy for that. We went to the center only to find out that nothing was open yet. We got off at Tokyo Dome and walked around until we found a cafe that opened at 7am for breakfast. Well, Karsten ate, I just had a lemon ice tea. After that, we went to Akihabara and realized that the shops didn't open until 10am. Since we got lost twice because the roadside maps weren't always aligned the same way, we weren't actually too early, but I wasn't used to walking so much and my legs and back were hurting, so we went back to the hotel with a stop at McDonalds. We thought it would be better to go shopping during the week when it was less crowded anyway. After a short nap, we went back to the Skytree only to find a huge line and we decided to postpone it to another day. There's a shopping center right at the Skytree that was also quite crowded. It was a Christmas market! The Christmas tree was made of flowers. We had something to eat at the shopping center. It was delicious. And then we looked at the shops and bought pastries. There were many interesting sweets. Unfortunately, some of them were expensive.
