Departure from paradise

We will be picked up by a speedboat after breakfast and taken to Phuket. On the hotel's boat, there is water and cold towels scented with lemongrass. The lemongrass scent has accompanied us in the form of shampoo, shower gel, and body lotion over the past few days.

A last glimpse of paradise 😔

We drive through a sea of mountains, islands, and rocks towards Phuket.

The weather in Patong is not so good and we escape to a McDonald's, which barricades its doors because of the weather.

Our hotel is okay, but full of Chinese tourists and the complete contrast to the previous hotels. Somehow it's a culture shock.

We try to acclimate ourselves with a glass of wine at Weinconnection and a walk on the beach. But it only partially succeeds. After days of slowing down, it's party time here again.

But we can't change it anyway.

So we try to make the best of it.
