Tag 97 - London Sightseeing Tour and off to the countryside!

Hi everyone

Today we had a lot on the agenda :).

Since Mom's accommodation was a real dump, Kevin and I decided to organize something else for the end. We found a cute cottage in the middle of a farm. Just as we imagined it: something small, just for us with an outdoor seating area.

Since she shouldn't suspect anything, we set off on a sightseeing tour as planned. However, she knew that we had something else planned and that we should be back at our accommodation by 3 p.m.

We took the train again, changed to the metro, and managed to get on a hop-on, hop-off bus at Green Park. We saw various sights:

Hyde Park, Marble Arch, Piccadilly Circus, London Eye, and many more!

Just before the Tower Bridge, we got off and had something delicious to eat. Suddenly we noticed that we were really short on time and the rush began. We ran to the next metro station, got off at Waterloo, and continued to Svay Lane - our station. We arrived at the camper around 3:30 p.m. and started preparing everything. Mom asked if she could help and we replied casually, "Yes, pack your suitcase." She thought we were joking, as we had been fooling her all day about the surprise. When she realized it wasn't a joke, she started packing, we checked out, and everything went smoothly. We drove for 1.5 hours and Mom still didn't know where we were going and what we had planned for her :).

When we arrived at the farm, we were all thrilled. We actually had a little cottage to ourselves - probably a converted barn - with two rooms, a living room, and an outdoor seating area. We made ourselves comfortable right away and enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. We quickly had our first glass of wine, Kevin made delicious burgers with cucumber salad, and we chatted and chatted :).

We sat outside until bedtime, then went our separate ways and each went to our room :).

We're really looking forward to tomorrow and can't wait to see what the day will bring.
