Mobile (Alabama)

Mobile is the largest port city in Alabama. We just drove through it several times because we couldn't find the way out. You have to go through a tunnel, but only one is made for larger vehicles, the other one is only for cars. So we took a little tour and could see the Mardi Gras figures that are displayed in the city. Mardi Gras means carnival in the South and it starts at the end of January/beginning of February. We were able to see the USS Alabama, a WWII warship, from a distance as it is docked in the harbor.
