After getting up in the morning after about 4 hours of sleep, we packed our things and then left Wanaka.
For us, it was off to Queenstown, as I booked my bungee jump there at 9:30 a.m. I deliberately booked the jump so early to keep my nerves in check.
When we arrived there, we first walked to the bridge and I realized what was coming up for me and I got more and more nervous...🙈
After registration and some waiting time, it was time for me, the first jumper of the day, to go to the bridge to have my legs tied up. When I had to jump to the jump platform, my nervousness suddenly increased and I first held on to a pole...
The guy who instructed me then made sure that I let go of the pole and spread my hands.
I was really scared and I first said to the guy, "I can't do it".
He skillfully ignored my statement and then said to me that he would now count to 3 and I have no idea what suddenly happened inside me, but I jumped down from this 43 m high bridge.
At first, I had my eyes closed for half of the fall and had to get used to the feeling. Bouncing at the end was a lot of fun and I was so relieved that I did it.
When I arrived at the bottom, I was then allowed into a boat and taken to the shore.
When I arrived at the top, I was just relieved.
I DID IT !!
So I did the bungee jump where the first bungee jump in the world took place.
I'm totally happy and relieved that I did it because the bungee jump was already on my bucket list when I was still in Germany.
The feeling was really incredible!

Afterwards, we drove to the city to eat a Fergburger that everyone raves about, and yes, it was great.
In Queenstown, we then drove up the mountain with a gondola. Once we arrived up there, we enjoyed the view and played cards.
As you can already imagine, we of course didn't book any accommodation and it was once again about the question of where we would sleep, as Queenstown is very expensive and all accommodations were fully booked.
So we went to the campsite and the three of us slept in the car.

The next morning, we took Lea to the bus and for Jonathan and me, it continues as a duo.
We enjoyed the morning in Queenstown and then we drove on...
Take care!!
