It gets hilly and the valleys remind of Austria. It's hard to imagine that the sea is just around the corner. And off the highway and back onto the narrow and steep road to the campsite. The campsite is located on a hill and has a beautiful beach (according to the brochure, it's the most beautiful bay in the Basque Country). The pitches and washing facilities are very nice and the highlight comes in the evening. We take an evening walk on the beach at low tide and a man with a headlamp comes up to us and gives us the headlamp and points to a small cave entrance. And just like that, we go on a night-time cave expedition, fantastic! Only the all the crayfish on the walls caused a few nightmares 😂. The weather is, let's say, "not too warm". The next day we could try out the bodyboards because the water was nice and warm and Jan-Timo enjoyed the beautiful sand. Papa swam nicely but unfortunately forgot his swimming goggles once, and that was too much for his eyes. So the next stage was with a bilateral conjunctivitis. Because it was just over 200 km, we mainly drove on country roads. Less toll and more to see.
