Fishing Harbor Race in Bremerhaven

Whit Monday 05.06.2017 - the weather keeps its promise - the sun is shining. We want to go to Bremerhaven for the Fishing Harbor Race. A route has already been set. We get on our motorcycles at 07:00 and look forward to an exciting day.
We ride through Bad Segeberg - Bad Bramstedt on many small side roads to Glückstadt to catch a ferry. The roads are deserted and we are alone with the beautiful landscapes.
It's still quite chilly - the temperature display says only 12 °C. By 08:30 we are at the ferry. 'Happytown Beachclub' is still closed. We prefer to drink our coffee on the ferry and enjoy the view of the water. Even the toilet has a view. After the ferry, we continue quickly to Bremerhaven. By now the thermometer shows 17°C and we enjoy the ride. The fishing harbor is crowded. But we are lucky and get a parking space near the entrance.
We pass some paddocks and make our way to the racetrack. The sun is scorching by now and there is no shade in sight. Many beautiful old motorcycles to admire. We enjoy the whole atmosphere with a delicious fish sandwich. When we start our way back around 15:00, we all agree that it was another successful trip away from everyday life.
We end the day at our favorite Italian restaurant in Neustadt and look forward to our next tour.
