Tag 270 - Hello Mexico 🇲🇽

Hello dear ones!
Unbelievable, but we are also back after a very long blog break ☺️ A lot has changed - with us and in the whole world. We were very lucky because we now have our own business and great joy in our work.For this reason, we are not traveling for months this time, but for 3.5 weeks ☺️. Yesterday, on Friday evening, we started and drove to Basel with our car. We stayed there overnight and set off early in the morning to the airport.Via Frankfurt, we finally headed to Cancun !!!! In Frankfurt we met Roman and Tiziana, they are also traveling to Mexico by chance, but staying in a different accommodation ☺️ In the plane we watched one movie after another, sleep was out of the question. We flew into the day the whole time, it was uncomfortable and we were also a little nervous ☺️ After landing, we were completely exhausted from the long journey on the one hand and very excited on the other ☺️We had to wait quite a long time for the luggage and Roman and Tiziana's luggage didn't come at all! It must have stayed in Frankfurt and will only arrive the next day in the evening ... The two poor things have nothing at the moment - no clothes, no charger, nothing ... After we had grabbed the luggage (or not), our paths separated. Our friends had a transfer to the airport and we had to pick up a rental car. It took a while until we had the right transfer bus, but the Mexicans at the airport helped us wherever they could. Everyone was very helpful and friendly!At the car rental it was again: line up and wait. It took quite a long time again and suddenly the car was CHF 500.- (!) more expensive than booked! You need a special insurance in Mexico, otherwise there is no car .... We were really exhausted by now and would probably have paid any amount, just to finally get to the accommodation!After another hour and 15 minutes drive, we finally arrived at our destination!Our bungalow is incredibly cute and right by the sea!We sat there for a while, talked and were torn between "unbelievably tired and completely excited" ☺️ After being awake for a little more than 25 hours (local time 1 am) we finally went to sleep ☺️Excited for the next day and the start of our vacation, we fell asleep satisfied ☺️So, you will hear from us again tomorrow 😉
