New moon celebration

It was hardly 2 days ago that we visited the large Aling Aling waterfalls. This morning, we were supposed to go to a waterfall just a few minutes away in the resort's pickup. At a rest stop, we were met by a guide who explained a lot about the diverse vegetation along the way.

A beautiful, approximately 20-minute walk eventually leads to the destination. A powerful and enchanting waterfall awaited us at the end of this hike. Here, we could all cleanse ourselves in the embrace of Mother Nature and always stood in a beautiful rainbow.

In the evening, we dressed up nicely and went with nearly 30 people to the new moon celebration at the Hindu temple.

The ritual lasted about an hour and we experienced it amidst the local population. It reminded me a lot of movies like "Eat, Pray, Love" and was very inspiring.
