Again in Gibraltar, the motorhome was unloaded and supplied in the rain, and then we headed towards Cadiz (only 120 km). Incredible rain showers along the way, and due to the amount of water on the road, we could only drive relatively slowly at times.
Along the road, we saw several inhabited stork's nests on electricity poles. Rings were specially attached to the poles for this purpose.
Here, there are also deciduous trees again, with green leaves and meadows with grass. Agriculture and livestock farming (cattle and horses) are also practiced here.
Arriving in Cadiz, there is no parking space to be found in the whole city. We did not want to drive into the parking garages, of which there were sufficient, for understandable reasons. So we headed to the camper area. It was very nice, right by the sea, but unfortunately also right next to a busy main road and far away from the city. So we drove 50 km further to Rota. Here we are parked in a good spot, but apart from the sea, there is nothing in sight. However, everything is very well laid out, there must be a lot of activity here in the summer.
After a heavy thunderstorm, we took a long walk along the sea again, now in sunshine and 24 degrees, and had a nice chat with a Belgian and a Dutch couple.
WE WISH EVERYONE A HAPPY 1ST ADVENT
