Working in Ashburton

شايع ٿيل: 31.01.2017

In 3 days, our work in Ashburton will finally end.
In short, despite the work, we can describe our three-week stay as beautiful. Because in our new accommodation, 'Jessy's Sharehouse,' we met very nice people.
We owe this work as well as the affordable accommodation to two friends from Aachen, who had been in Ashburton for 2 months and were able to give us some tips before their departure. We always spent the days off and afternoons with them and the other Germans and French people from the Sharehouse.
Thanks to our roommates, we had a good time in the quiet, unremarkable, and not particularly attractive Ashburton, with fun afternoons and evenings.

Our workday usually starts at 7 a.m. We meet with the other workers and the supervisor at our employer, Agstaff. From there, we are driven to the respective field for processing today. When we arrive, our supervisor explains the work for the day. Until now, our tasks have included raking lily flowers, pulling out so-called 'tallies' (too large 'false' wheat), as well as certain plants and herbs in general.

In the end, the work was primarily back-breaking. Thanks to numerous audiobooks and smoko breaks (short breaks), we were able to manage the workday.
