Spätzle, Biergarten, Schwarzwäldertorte and sea

The German influence from the colonial era is still clearly visible and audible in Namibia. Many Namibians are of German origin, and even though they have been living here for several generations, they still speak German, even though Afrikaans is their first language. A lunch at the Brauhaus Swakopmund takes you back to the German roots and even the sea could be in northern Germany, not much in Swakopmund reminds you of Africa.
