67. Kassandra -> Glarokavos Beach

67. Tag: Unfortunately, it is cloudy again in the morning, so we exchange the planned beach hike for a visit to Mavrobara Turtle Lake. So first the East Coast and then the West.

We incorporate the lake (actually just a pond) into a little hike. Good thing, because the path is quite nice and the driving routes would not have been manageable for us. I wouldn't have even attempted it with a 4x4. When we arrive at the lake, we meet unexpectedly many other visitors. While we walk around the pond, most of them leave already. After that, we can enjoy the water turtles in peace.

Back at the car, we continue to Glarokavos Beach. We park beautifully under pine trees directly on the beach. If only the sun were really out now, the only thing missing for an authentic Caribbean feeling would be a coconut. Here, we spend the rest of the day with a walk, reading, lazing around...
