Bangkok/Phuket 09.12.

Now our Bangkok trip was already over and straight after breakfast we went to the train that took us directly to the airport. Again, it was super easy and we were a bit proud of ourselves for finding our way around this huge city so well.

At the airport everything went very quickly and smoothly, so we still had time for a few rounds of Skyjo. The flight to Phuket (approx. 1.5 hours) was also pleasant and went by quickly.

When we arrived in Phuket we went to the hotel again using the Grab app. The approximately 1 hour drive was very exciting because we saw our first elephant standing on the side of the road!

When we arrived at the hotel, we freshened up briefly and then walked directly along the beach promenade towards the famous “Bangla Road”. There were again many bars, clubs and shops to see here.

Looking for something to eat, we also came to a very well-rated restaurant that served Turkish and Indian food. It was really, really good and there was even a free dessert included!

Just as we were leaving the restaurant it started to rain. But not as we knew it, it was a monsoon-like heavy rain including a thunderstorm, we had never experienced anything like that.

Wet but once again super happy we went back to the hotel and then off to bed.
