15th Day - Chiang Saen - Wiang - Hall of Opium Museum

Today we will visit the Hall Of Opium Museum. It is also located in the "Golden Triangle" and just a few minutes away from our hotel. Here we will learn about the past and present of the opium trade and the effects of opium. Opium latex is obtained by incising immature poppy capsules. During the drying process, the milk sap turns into a brown to black mass called raw opium.
