Yesterday I finally went to the national park. Shortly before 8, the line was already so long that I had to wait in line for an hour before being allowed in. There was a shuttle service up to the path (tg that was over 4 km) and then I made it somewhere very nice. I later realized that it was 'not' the beach I actually wanted to go to and I haven't figured out where I actually was until now :D The hike was quite challenging for me. But it was really nice, I was alone at times and all I heard were my own footsteps and the sounds of the forest. I also found my favorite holes on the way, with tiny tarantulas in them. The monkey species is actually originally native there, but was probably introduced somehow when the nature reserve was established. Why and how, I have no idea. Little rainforest tour excursion, most of what lives in it could kill you. A few things would also try, after all, this is their habitat that you are invading. So don't touch anything, not even plants you don't know. Not animals anyway (never, anywhere if you don't know them). Take enough water with you, even if it is shady, you will lose water through your skin as well as through your breathing and rescues can be very difficult. In unknown areas or potentially dangerous areas, always go with a guide (and then always choose Flinta). For obvious reasons :D There were a lot of people traveling alone and we were able to point out the animals we discovered along the way. Since everyone was traveling at their own pace, we met up every now and then when we discovered something new and great. I returned home relatively quickly and was incredibly tired for the rest of the day, but it was worth it.
Today we went back to Cartagena, on the bus without air conditioning and I can hardly express how great that was. It was only about 6000 degrees, tomorrow we're going to Guatemala.
