Next stop, where you could secure your bike: Amrum Lighthouse! The condition when climbing was lacking, I have to work on that until the hiking vacation in August.
The view looks like a lunar landscape. Those tents on the picture are actually there - I wonder that camping is allowed here, where nature conservation is so important. But maybe they are researchers with special permission?! A child on top of the lighthouse wanted to know if 'the people down there' are all naked when they stay overnight in the dunes. No one could answer that ;-).
View from Amrum Lighthouse
In Amrum everything is close together, shortly after you are already in the north, at the very end, with a direct view of the neighbor Föhr:
The northernmost tip
Amrum ends over there
After a few hours (it takes that long only because of the many stops, among others at the fishmonger for a crab sandwich) the island circumnavigation was done and the bike was back in the bike rental garage. I love electric bikes!!!
Bicycles are the only true means of transportation
ALONG THE WATT TO NEBEL - THE THIRD (BUT IN REVERSE) Back from Nebel to Norddorf, we went along the familiar path along the mudflat again. And with it: birds. Breeding grounds. Birds. Pheasants. Geese. Ducks. Breeding grounds. Birds.
And again: Breeding grounds everywhere
Tomorrow it will be time to say goodbye to the north - but before that, we will have good fish for dinner again. This time flounder!

AND TOMORROW...
The island vacation is coming to an end - after a week of sea, beach, sand, and fresh air, we are heading back home.
