Wellington

I took the cable car to the highest point in Wellington and had a beautiful view of the harbour and the city. The old cable car, see photo, is in the museum and used to take people down to their jobs in the city.

The city, capital of New Zealand, is located on one or more hills, very steep and very green. The houses are mostly made of wood, very Victorian and reminded me of the old houses of the seaside resorts in Wissant and Bruges.

There was a lot of activity in the city and I noticed several homeless people in the pedestrian zone.. 🤔
