Norway Day 7: Vøringsfoss

Опубликовано: 25.08.2022

The overnight spot at the old ferry pier offers a wonderful view over the Eidfjord, last night we even saw two dolphins. We're not really moving on, making a stopover in the town of Eidfjord and then driving to Vøringsfoss, supposedly the most beautiful waterfall in Norway.

In Geilo we wander from sports shop to sports shop, P is looking for a jacket. Not that there aren't any nice jackets in his size, one doesn't have a hood, the next one isn't the optimal color... Two hours later we haven't bought a jacket and continue on.

Maria finds the parking lot in the forest too rustic, she would like a real toilet - and we could really use a shower, the last one at the Telemark Canal was a few days ago. So for the first time on this trip, we go to a campsite. The guy who runs it and his old T1 van are legendary, since 1957 the old bus has been driving its round on the site every day, which is actually more of a sloping field under pine trees.
