Holbox Island

Arrived on Sunday, November 5th, 2017 at 6.30pm. Unfortunately, our taxi broke down, so we had to arrange our own taxi. They ripped us off with a price of 360 USD for 2.5 hours. The hotel has confirmed that they will pay us the difference, so it's okay. When we arrived at Chiquila at the port, we were informed that the last ferry to the island had left 15 minutes ago. Oh great, but somehow funny, the adventure has begun 😂 A boy followed us and offered us a ride with his fisherman colleague. A motorboat, well-maintained. Since we had no other choice, we accepted. 1300 pesos. We just wanted to go to bed. The wild ride begins. Pitch black. Finally arrived on the island, of course, there was no taxi. We had to walk. Woke up in the morning with sun and 23 degrees, hotel was top-notch from A to Z, friendly people, great food, and white beach. That's the way to live!
