DAY 5 - From Gothenburg to Norway

At 5 a.m., it was time to get up because at 7 a.m. we were already heading towards Norway from Copenhagen.

First stop: Gothenburg!

After locking our belongings, we set out to explore the city. Disappointingly, we found out that it mainly serves as a shopping city. As a result, one of the highlights was a golden shopping street with brand stores.

In addition to the shopping opportunities, we found some warships and the opera in the harbor. On the way back to the train station, we made a stop at Cafe Brúle. There we could finally enjoy a hearty lunch at a reasonable price! So: highly recommended!

At around 3 p.m., we continued north with the next train.

Next stop: Karlstad!

Karlstad is bigger than initially expected, but we only had half an hour to explore it. However, during our short walk, we found a nice, flowery park.

With another 2+3/4 hour journey, we finally reached Norway, Oslo. In Oslo, we have only seen the main train station so far, as we are now heading directly to Stavanger! But don't worry, there will be more to tell about Oslo in a few days!

We say goodbye to Oslo today, where we will soon board the night train and try to get some sleep!

(Side fact: 11.5km of walking until 10 p.m.

9-hour train ride, the night train actually takes another 9 hours!)
