From Mexico to Guatemala

The last evening in Bacalar was spent with a pretty awesome sunset sail and therefore very calm, definitely one of the highlights of the past weeks.

So now we go from Bacalar through Chetumal and Belize to Guatemala. We travel about 10 hours in a small bus, the border controls are strange, I haven't experienced them for so long.

Aside from the fact that the bus has WiFi, the whole thing is not very spectacular. Only the border from Belize to Guatemala is a completely new experience. About 100 school children are crossing the border with us, as well as all the other people who seem to be shopping / working or doing something else on the other side of a country.

Strange for us small sheltered Europeans are the weapons that the representatives of various state powers have here, all that's missing is the tank.
