On our last day in the city, we headed to Downtown to take a ride on the Singapore Flyer. This is a giant Ferris wheel that rises up to 165m and provides a panoramic view of the city. Since it was warm and sunny again today, it felt good to sit in one of the air-conditioned capsules and enjoy the view. Afterwards, we walked from shade to shade on foot to get a closer look at Singapore's famous skyscrapers. We found a spot under the trees to rest and drink from time to time. It feels like the city is getting more crowded.
In the early evening, we went back to the same place where we had dinner yesterday, but this time we indulged in a double portion of sushi :) It was super delicious and freshly prepared. Next to the restaurants, there is a projection screen that is about 10m wide and changes its image when you step on it. In this case, it was a school of fish that scattered when you walked on it. Absolutely amazing. It's a pity that you can't upload videos here. Anyway, Nora ran around on the screen for almost an hour. It's funny how suddenly there is plenty of energy in the evening for something like this :)) Among the many Asian children, there was one that at least visually resembled our cultural background. Nora went over to play with her and after a short warming-up phase, the two girls had a lively conversation and ran around together. After a while, I started talking to the parents and it turned out they were Russians. That makes me wonder what the kids were talking about the whole time?!? :-)))
Tomorrow morning, we will say goodbye to Singapore and fly to Malaysia, more precisely to the island of Langkawi, in the northern part of the country. There, we will finally be on the beach and relax. At least that's the "plan". Let's see how long we stay and what awaits us there.
