Today we went to Praia do Forte with our friend. But first, we had to go to the bus station in Salvador, the Rodoviario. There, we bought a ticket and took the Linha Verde up the coast to Praia do Forte. But the name doesn't quite represent what is actually there. Because there is actually a huge tourist resort there.

Many shops and restaurants line up along the long promenade towards the beach. After a few minutes, you finally reach the square of Praia do Forte. But before we went to the beach, we first went to the turtle station. An incredibly cool and beautiful place. This has greatly increased the survival of turtles in recent years. If you were lucky, you could even see some swimming freely in the sea. It was very impressive to see the species currently being cared for there, how people work there, and how a turtle actually lives.

There are also a few other marine creatures at the station. After we looked at everything, we went to the beach to enjoy the water and the sun.

Finally, we ate something on site and went near Trilha Klaus Peters for the sunset, a hiking trail near Praia do Forte.

Then we took a small minibus back to Salvador.
