Zion National Park and Bryce Canyon

Опубликовано: 04.08.2016

Instead of starting at the famous Angels Landing in Zion National Park before sunrise, due to a cold, we decided to leave later and only go on a short, easy hike. However, this plan also fell through as the park was so overcrowded that we couldn't find a parking spot within walking distance.

Therefore, we drove straight through and continued on to the campground at Bryce Canyon.

After a night in a remote wooded area by a small lake, we packed up our tent and headed out for our horseback riding tour.

The Inspiration Point offered us a great view of the crowded Bryce Canyon.

Then, it was back on the road, and we drove through yet another thunderstorm towards Moab, near Arches National Park.

When it comes to weather, we seem to have bad luck, as all the locals we asked said it hardly ever rains here, and the 4 thunderstorms in the past 4 days are an exception.

On our way to Moab, the extent and uniqueness of the rainfall became apparent as streams turned into raging waters.

Upon closer inspection, the water/mud masses can be seen here.

On our way, we briefly stopped at one of the many typical rocks/mountains.

Now we are all looking forward to a restful night in Moab and hopefully a beautiful day tomorrow.
